The film, Shades of Winter: Between, will be shown to a New Zealand audience for the first time at Cinema Paradiso tomorrow.
Kuzma, New Zealand's top female free-skier, stars along with other top athletes including Olympic gold medallist Julia Mancuso and two-time Freeride World Tour champion Nadine Wallner.
Wanaka and the surrounding area featured in the film as well as footage of heli-skiing on the Mt Larkins Range, near Glenorchy.
Kuzma hoped the film would inspire young girls to pursue their dreams.
Kuzma also competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in halfpipe and is ranked fourth in the world.
''I hope I can make everyone proud with the movie showing how amazing the landscape is and how good our terrain is in New Zealand,'' she said.
The film will also have a public screening on Saturday at the same cinema.
