Owner Allan Dippie said yesterday the company was establishing the infrastructure for its Luggate Heights development of a small number of big residential sections, on the right, and also the extension of Luggate Park, containing smaller, cheaper sections, on the left.
The 22 Luggate Heights sections went on the market in May with price tags of between $325,000 and $495,000.
Mr Dippie said quite a number had sold.
Luggate Park’s 130 to 140 sections were for affordable housing and Mr Dippie said they would be brought on to the market in stages.
Negotiations over some aspects of the infrastructure were ongoing with the Queenstown Lakes District Council.
Mr Dippie declined to speculate on when the first stage might be available for sale.
He said there was strong demand but was cautious about putting sections on the market before all consents were finalised.
Luggate Park was the subdivision that lost Dunedin City Council-owned infrastructure company Delta $5.9million before tax in 2012.
