

In a world premiere for Wānaka, Ms Shaw will be launching her latest book, Three Wee Bookshops at the End of the World, on April 1.
Mr Stapley will be hosting a foraged lunch with ‘‘accidental botanist’’ Peter Langlands, author of Foraging New Zealand, on March 31, using ingredients collected during an explorative workshop on Wānaka’s lakefront on March 30.
RNZ journalist Kathryn Ryan will be chairing several of the Aspiring Conversation sessions scheduled for the week.
An important conversation, Poverty by Design, will traverse the state of the nation, with investigative journalist Rebecca Macfie and researcher, writer and speaker Max Rashbrooke exploring systems that create poverty and how we could redesign the country to eradicate it.
Another high-profile conversation is the role of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Tearing Up The Treaty, will feature Kassie Hartendorp (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa), director of ActionStation and leader of the campaign for Te Tiriti justice, and professor Dame Anne Salmond.
Other topics include personal stories, politics, archaeology, war reporting, and children’s fiction writing.
On April 6, journalists Susie Ferguson, Lisette Reymer and Mike McRoberts (Ngāti Kahungunu) will discuss breaking news stories in Breakfast with Papers.
Other guests include former deputy prime minister Paula Bennett, world squash champion and former race relations commissioner Dame Susan Devoy and The Topp Twins.
