Garden ‘just beautiful’

The Gore couple were married at The Hideaway in Winton on October 25, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

Mrs Stuart said the couple met through mutual friends five years ago on a car run, and their wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love.

"The Hideaway is a beautiful place for a wedding. The garden scenery was just beautiful.

"Walking down the aisle seeing my husband-to-be was my favourite part of the day. I looked around at our family and friends who made the effort to celebrate us, and it was so lovely. Having our grandfathers witness us signing our marriage certificate was incredibly special to us. It was a surprise to them, and it was beautiful."

The bride wore a white dress from Bride & Winter, in Dunedin, and the groom wore a suit in a matching neutral colour.

A neutral colour theme was a perfect choice, she said.

"The bridal party were neutral colours with bright flowers to make them pop. The flowers were from Ambrosia Florists in Invercargill. I had all different varieties of flowers — my vibe was colourful. I loved the colour scheme and felt it fit us perfectly."

The couple celebrated their nuptials at a reception held at The Hideaway with catering supplied by Country Manor Catering and a simple-but-stunning cake made by a local home baker.

The couple wished to thank everyone who played a part in helping before or on the day.
