The Menzies College Senior A basketball team (in green) faced a team from Te Wharekura o Huiarau, a school in Ruatāhuna, southeast of Rotorua, as part of an inaugural sport and cultural exchange with the school on June 3.

The home side won, 53-36.

The exchange also involved a a mihi whakatau, or welcoming ceremony, and a netball game between the Whakatāne district school and Menzies College’s Senior B netball team.
