Europe has already served up some fast times for two Dunedin runners.

Oli Chignell and Sam Bremer have both recorded personal-bests since arriving in Belgium less than a month ago.

Chignell knocked 15sec off his 5000m personal-best in Heusden, Belgium.

His time of 13min 52.84sec was a significant step up on his previous fastest time which he ran in Townsville at the recent Oceania championships.

It was also nearly 20sec faster than his best time before leaving New Zealand.

He also ran 3min 51.89sec in the 1500m in Watford.

At the same meeting in Watford, Bremer took 3sec off his 1500m personal-best.

He ran 3min 47.63sec to eclipse the 3min 50sec mark for the first time.

It also broke a personal-best he ran more than two years ago.

Meanwhile, on the Gold Coast last week Paralympian Anna Grimaldi claimed the women's 20-plus long jump title at the Down Under Championship.

She jumped 5.22m to win the event by 10cm.

In the 100m she ran 13.18sec to finish second.
