New Zealand won the toss and have sent South Africa in to bat in the third and final ODI at Seddon Park in Hamilton today.
The home side have omitted Trent Boult and Dan Vettori from the second ODI in Mt Maunganui last Friday, and have opted for a three-strong specialist fast-medium attack of Tim Southee, Mitchell McClenaghan and Matt Henry.
South Africa have left out legspinner Imran Tahir, batsman Faf du Plessis and fast bowler Dale Steyn from their squad, introducing fast bowler Kyle Abbott for the first time on tour.
South Africa have already won the series, with two victories at Mt Maunganui last week.
