The win partly compensated for a huge loss to eventual champion Takapuna the previous day.
The North Shore club smashed a tournament-high 433 for four to chalk up a 258-run victory over the Eels.
Greg Johnson (197) and Elliot Herd (174) combined to post 310 for the second wicket - a partnership record for the tournament. It was Herd's maiden premier hundred.
Taieri fought hard, with openers George Spittle (45) and Anthony Harris (43) making solid contributions in a partnership of 77.
It was a good start but Robbie O'Donnell claimed four for 23 as Taieri collapsed to be all out for 175.

Ryan Senior starred with four for 27 and guided the run chase with an undefeated innings of 55.

Takapuna dominated the final with a 141-run win against Christchurch club St Albans.
The Aucklanders scored 238 for nine, Jono Sole top-scoring with 98.
In reply, the Cantabrians could manage just 97. Elliot Herd capped a great tournament with four for 19.
Black Caps seamer Trent Boult was named batsman of the tournament with 378 runs at an average of 63.
Takapuna all-rounder Greg Johnson was named player of the tournament with 306 runs and 11 wickets, and St Albans' Matthew Holstein was the bowler of the tournament with 14 wickets at 11.93.
