Relaunch of CricHQ app welcomed

Wellington-based cricket data and technology company CricHQ has been relaunched.

Cameron Harland has been appointed chief executive of the newly structured company which has been purchased by a small group of local Wellington businessmen.

Most recently, Harland ran Park Road Post Production and previously he worked in advertising and marketing in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, including roles with New Zealand Rugby and Saatchi & Saatchi.

New Zealand Cricket was pleased it would be business as usual for the many cricket teams, players, volunteers and supporters who subscribe to the app.

''We're delighted the business has been taken over,'' New Zealand Cricket chief operating officer, Anthony Crummy said.

''We think it's great that it will still be New Zealand-based, and we look forward to continuing to work with the new owners.''
