New Zealand golfers Mark Brown and David Smail continued their retreat in the final round of the World Cup in China today.
They fell another four places to finish in a share of 22nd place alongside Guatemala in the 28-nation event at Mission Hills at Shenzhen.
Tied for sixth following the first round, Brown and Smail fell back at a steady pace after struggling in the foursomes alternate shot format used in the second and fourth rounds.
They posted three-over-par 75s on both days, after doing much better in the fourballs in the first and third rounds.
Brown and Smail shared prizemoney of $US53,000 ($NZ97,550) for their efforts.
