US PGA Tour winner Dustin Johnson has been arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
Johnson, a 24-year-old in his second full season on tour, was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday and released 22 minutes later, according to the facility's Web site.
Johnson won at Pebble Beach in February, his second career tour win. He stands ninth in this year's FedEx Cup points race and has earned almost $US1.6 million ($NZ2.84 million).
A call to Johnson's agent, David Winkle, was not immediately returned.
Johnson makes his home in Myrtle Beach. He was scheduled to play at this week's Shell Houston Open in Humble, Texas.
