With the Warriors looking to shake off last week’s loss, Jeff Cheshire looks at five reasons why they can win tonight.

Dry track

There is a roof and that suits the Warriors’ fast-paced game to a T.

Shaun Johnson and Tuimoala Lolohea like to throw the ball around, and love space.

The plan will be to keep the big Bulldogs  pack huffing and puffing.

Wise heads return

The Warriors have brought a trio of  experienced  players back. Winger Manu Vatuvei makes his return, while forwards Jacob Lillyman and Bodene Thompson are starters after coming off the bench in rounds one and two. They complement a pack which includes veterans Simon Mannering, Ryan Hoffman and Issac Luke.

Dogs done?

The winless Bulldogs are under pressure to deliver, which could spur them on to a big performance. Or will they force things and make mistakes? They have been one of the better-performed teams in recent times but are they reaching the end of a good patch?

Consistently inconsistent

The Warriors — one week brilliant, the next terrible. No team embodies the term hot and cold like they do.

The good news is they were awful in a 26-10 loss to the Melbourne Storm last Friday night in Auckland.

Forsyth fortress

The Warriors have never lost at Forsyth Barr Stadium. They beat the Broncos 16-10 in 2013 and smashed them 48-4 a year later. They were just pre-season games, but they count, right?

Players to watch

Shaun Johnson

The Warriors halfback is the most exciting player in the game on his day.

Simon Mannering

A reliable hard toiler, who regularly rates among the top tacklers in the competition.

James Graham

The Bulldogs prop and captain is one of the game’s hard men. Could run through a wall.

Brett Morris

An experienced winger who knows his way to the try line.
