Light issues at Forsyth Barr Stadium delayed the start of tonight's Bledisloe Cup match.

Otago Daily Times sports editor Steve Hepburn, who is at the ground, said lights in the Speight's Stand and some other parts of the stadium switched off about 7pm.

The lights switching off affected the Wallabies warm-up and they asked for the start to be delayed by 10 minutes.

The lights were supposed to go out about 7.20pm for a light show for about three minutes but went out at the wrong time due to technical issues.

The light show was abandoned
