Palmerston's Courtney Duncan has bounced back from injury to record another win in the women’s motocross world championship.

Duncan (20) was victorious in the first race of the Switzerland round this weekend.

The rookie stunned the motocross community when she won three of her first four races in the championship before crashing into with a photographer in the first race of the German round three months ago.

The accident left Duncan needing corrective surgery on her left hand.

While her championship prospects are long gone, she returned to racing this weekend and gave the motocross world a reminder of her talent in Frauenfeld.

Riding a Yamaha, Duncan finished ahead of Italy's Kiara Fontanesi (Honda) and The Netherlands' Nancy Van De Ven (Yamaha),
