Mechanical problems hampered New Zealand driver Brendon Hartley today in the second European Formula Three championship race at Zandvoort in Holland.
Hartley, who started from 10th on the grid, struggled to finish eighth in this morning's race (NZ time).
"I just had no pace and right now we don't understand what the issue is with the car," Hartley said.
"I was right there during Friday testing, setting lap times in the top three; but something is not right because we were 1.5 sec down in the second race.
"I lost sixth gear during the race and that will have cost me time, although maybe there is something more. I need to stay confident, but this is pretty stressful."
Euro Series championship leader Jules Bianchi completed a dominant display to take his second win of the weekend.
Hartley's disappointing finish today followed a fighting comeback for 10th in the first race yesterday (NZT), after he was forced to start from 19th.
