Spearheaded by 26 points from Nan Chen, China trailed by four points early before taking over.

Down 31-50 at halftime, the Tall Ferns outscored China in the second half.

Angela Marino and Jillian Harmon led the scoring for New Zealand, both scoring 14 points.
