It claimed 100 points, ahead of Team Smoothy (80 points) and Team Kuzma (60 points).
The result drew Team Wells equal with Team Smoothy on 440 points overall, 40 ahead of Team Kuzma.
The three teams each visited a different ski resort and built various lines around the mountains in what was dubbed the mountain shred.
The team’s videographers filmed the action and created a three-minute edit, which was judged 80% on the athletes’ tricks and 20% on the cinematography of the video.
Team Wells drew Coronet Peak as its venue and made strong use the location, covering a variety of the mountain’s terrain.
There was a strong performance across all categories and the athletes displayed strong linking of features and solid linked tricks, as well as a high difficulty and big amplitude.

Team Smoothy drew Treble Cone, while Team Kuzma competed on the Remarkables.
The fifth and final challenge of the Obsidian is the overall edit.
Each videography team will put together a seven-to eight-minute video of its team competing at the Obsidian.
They will be judged in the coming days, the results to be announced at tomorrow’s prize giving.
The overall winning team will take home the Edgar Challenge Trophy.
