6 - Sri Lankan speedster Lasith Malinga terrorised the Perth Scorchers in Australia's Big Bash League, taking 6-7 from four overs to lead the Melbourne Stars to a 10-wicket win on Wednesday. Malinga's figures were the second-best in T20 history, after Arul Suppiah's 6-5 for Somerset against Glamorgan in 2011.
2 - The number of Breakers who will play in next weekend's All-Star Game in Adelaide. Despite being two-time defending champions and again leading the league, no Breakers players were elected to the bench for the South team by the ANBL office, leaving starters Tom Abercrombie and Cedric Jackson as the only representatives.
