
Anderson went to $72,500 to secure the half-sister to former top southern racemare Coulee.
He said in a New Zealand Bloodstock press release that he plans to bring other Otago racing enthusiasts in with him to race the filly.
"I thought she was a strong filly who could make an early-going 2yr-old or Thousand Guineas-type of horse.
"The ownership will be shared with a few other local owners and friends, so we'll be looking forward to having a bit of fun with her.''
Anderson was not the only trainer of standardbreds to put his hand up at yesterday's sale. Fellow trainers David Butt, Gavin Smith, Jack Harrington and Brad Mowbray all secured thoroughbred horses.
Anderson's Per Incanto filly from the Monashee Mountain mare Cherry Creek was one of seven horses White Robe Lodge sold yesterday.
The North Taieri Stud retained three of its draft.
Those that sold were knocked down at an average of $31,500.
Anderson boosted White Robe Lodge's bottom line by taking home a second White Robe Lodge product. He bought a Proisir colt from the Carnegie mare Our Girl Nelson for $12,500.
Progeny of White Robe Lodge's rookie sire Ghibellines produced good results yesterday.
Victorian Bloodstock agent John Foote secured a Ghibellines from the six-race winning Yamanin Vital mare Smudgee for $48,000.

Forty-eight of 71 catalogued horses sold at a clearance rate of 71% and an average of $5174.
The standardbred sale's aggregate was $248,350.
