The TAB is to introduce first 4 betting on all races from Friday.
The TAB introduced the first 4 - in which punters have to pick the first four horses or greyhounds in finishing order in an event - in February last year, but have generally restricted it to four races per meeting, with group one events often omitted.
The TAB said today all first 4 pools on overseas races would be commingled with Australian pools and that it would offer more commingled quaddies on Australian races.
It said it had injected a total of $150,000 into quaddies and some first 4 pools for thoroughbred, harness and greyhound races events this weekend. The money comes from unstruck pools in April, while Australian races on Saturday will have bonus pools.
