With teams getting five, three and one point respectively for each first, second and third placing, Otago finished with nine firsts, seven seconds and four thirds to claim its third consecutive title.
After securing wins in the men's under-20 coxless quad sculls, men's and women's under-20 coxed/coxless fours and men's under-20 double sculls, Otago had 30 points at the end of day one.
That enabled it to lead Canterbury by two heading into Sunday.
Wins in the men's under-20 coxless pair, men's under-20 single sculls, women's under-20 coxless pair, men's under-20 double sculls and men's open eight got Otago over the line on day two.
Alongside the wins, Otago also claimed a second in the men's under-20 single sculls and third in the men's under-20 double sculls, giving it crucial extra points.
Meanwhile, in the Saturday morning single sculls R2K regatta, also held on Lake Ruataniwha, Otago rowers took first in four of the nine events.
Dunstan Arms' Simon Smith rowed 7min 53.59sec to claim first in the men's open race, beating Oamaru's Mark Taylor by 9sec.
Juliette Alm-Lequeux, of Otago University, claimed the women's open title in 8min 43.73sec, more than 11sec ahead of Cantabrian Mollie Weston, who finished second.
In the men's under-19 race, Oamaru's James Scott rowed 8min 04.24sec to claim first, while clubmate Logan Docherty won the under-17 race in 8min 03.52sec.
Scott was a standout over the weekend, having also claimed first in the under-20 single sculls and quadruple sculls at the interprovincial regatta, as well as third in the under-20 double sculls.
