Rugby: Minimal changes for Highlanders

The Highlanders have made minimal changes for their final Super 14 rugby match of the season against the Reds in Brisbane on Saturday night.

The 13th-placed Highlanders have made just two alterations, both of them in the outside backs, from the side who started in the 3-31 loss to the Brumbies in Canberra last weekend.

Centre Kenny Lynn returns after missing that match due to a groin strain, leaving Ben Smith to move out a space to his usual position on the wing in place of James Paterson, who drops to the reserves bench.

Also named on the bench is prop Jamie Mackintosh, who is set to see action for the first time in more than a month after recovering from a toe injury.
