Witt has been named on the Otago reserve bench ahead of their Air NZ Cup rugby match against Northland in Whangarei on Friday.

The Warriors jettisoned Witt in March, early in their disappointing 2009 National Rugby League campaign, and the Australian went on to play a season of club rugby in Dunedin.

The Otago team to play Northland in an Air NZ Cup game at Whangarei on Friday:
Ben Smith, Karne Hesketh, Ryan Shortland, Aaron Bancroft, Fetu'u Vainikolo, Chris Noakes, Sean Romans, Paul Grant, Alando Soakai (captain), Adam Thomson, Tom Donnelly, Hayden Triggs, Sam Hibbard, Jason Macdonald, Ben Nolan. Reserves: Peter Mirrielees, Kees Meeuws, Hoani Matenga, Steven Setephano, James Kenny, Glenn Dickson, Michael Witt.
