The students moved the ball wide at every opportunity and the outstanding player was openside flanker Jack Wolfreys.
A late try by hooker Johnny Mason gave Southern a 16-13 win over Alhambra-Union at the North Ground.
The Taieri midfield back combination of Kieran Moffat and Kori Rupene were in dynamic form and both scored two of Taieri's nine tries when Zingari-Richmond was beaten 56-7 at Peter Johnstone Park.
Taieri still leads the Gallaway Trophy competition with 67 points and is followed by Dunedin 56, Southern 47, Alhambra-Union 44, University A 43, Kaikorai 31, Harbour 29, Green Island 28, Zingari-Richmond 20 and Pirates 17.
Green Island helped celebrate Dean Moeahu's 200th premier match for the club in style in its victory over Pirates at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Moeahu was cheered onto the field with a guard of honour comprising young age-group players before joined by members of his own squad, before beginning a game that was played at a fast and furious pace.
Harbour went on a try scoring spree when it scored nine tries to outclass Kaikorai 56-5 at Watson Park. Midfield back George Folau scored three tries and hooker Pete Mirrielees two.
