Players from Canterbury and Otago each won $500,000 with Lotto First Division in Wednesday night’s draw.
The winning tickets were both sold on MyLotto.
Powerball was not struck this evening and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $10 million.
Strike Four has also rolled over tonight and will be $400,000 on Saturday night.
The winning Otago ticket comes less than a month after a Port Chalmers man won $1 million with a ticket bought at an On the Spot Express store in the town.
