Ferry Rd Pharmacy in Waltham was added to the Ministry of Health’s list of locations on Friday morning.
Anyone there on Monday, January 24, from 3.30pm-4pm, or Thursday, January 27, from 8.45am-8.55am, should self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days and get a test.
The new location of interest comes after the ministry announced four new community cases in the city on Thursday. The cases will be added to the official tally today.
Christchurch Airport was also added to the official list of locations of interest by the ministry last night. Anyone at the airport on Monday, January 24, between 9.10am and 9.40am or 5pm to 5.30pm, should self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms and, if symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home.
Two of the four new cases are located in the same household, the ministry said. Three of the cases arrived in Christchurch from Wellington on Jetstar flight JQ287 on Monday, and one was on Jetstar flight JQ237 from Auckland on Monday.
All four cases are under investigation to establish any links to previous cases, the ministry said.
"People should continue to get tested if they have any symptoms of Covid-19, and regularly check the Ministry of Health website for locations of interest in Canterbury," the ministry said in a statement.
Wellington Airport's domestic terminal and Jetstar check-in area are also listed as locations of interest from 6.30am to 9.40am on Monday.
