One person has died following a serious motorcycle crash in Temuka, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash in Factory Rd about 7.50pm yesterday.
No other vehicles or people were involved.
"Sadly, despite best efforts, one person died at the scene," police said in a statement this morning.
The Serious Crash Unit has conducted a scene examination and the road has reopened.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were continuing.
