Person dies on fishing vessel in Timaru

    A person has died on board a fishing vessel in Canterbury.

    The death was reported to police in Timaru, the NZ Herald reported.

    Police said the person was believed to have died as a result of natural causes.

    The death was not considered suspicious at this stage and will be referred to the coroner.
