Truck overturns near Ashburton

    A truck driver was trapped in his vehicle after a crash in Ashburton this morning.

    A police spokesperson said the crash on Trevors Rd was reported about 6.30am on Friday.

    The truck overturned and its door was damaged, trapping the driver, the spokesperson said.

    The driver was taken to Ashburton Hospital by ambulance.
