It took just 20 minutes for tickets to the quarter-final between the Crusaders and Blues at Te Kaha to be snapped up.

The old rivals go to battle in the Super Rugby playoffs at Christchurch's new indoor stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Tickets for the public went on sale soon after 10am today, selling out in under half an hour.

The Crusaders said in a statement that not all hope was lost for fans who missed out.

"Wow, that was quick. Further limited tickets will be released at 5pm this evening. These tickets are any unclaimed member or commercial partner tickets that will be released," it said.
