Restructuring in Hawkes Bay has created up to six new positions in PGG Wrightson's Dunedin office.
The national rural servicing company has consolidated its Hawkes Bay business, closing the office of subsidiary Williams and Kettle, which will see credit and some livestock processing functions move south.
PGG Wrightson chief financial officer Mike Sang said that up to six new positions would be created in Dunedin.
"Our credit functions will be relocated to Dunedin and integrated with the team already there.
This will provide efficiency benefits and we believe the larger team in a single location will allow us to do things better.''
Six Hawkes Bay positions would be made redundant with two of those roles in livestock processing.
"Part of our livestock processing team will relocate to the PGG Wrightson Hastings office and two roles will be transferred to Dunedin,'' he said.
