Federline lives it up in Las Vegas

Kevin Federline might play the part of the pauper to his pop princess ex-wife Britney Spears, but in Las Vegas he is king.

Federline spent more than $US43,000 ($NZ55,163.56) on Las Vegas hotels, dining and shopping between May 2007 and January of this year, according to documents filed by Federline's lawyer in his custody battle with Spears. The documents were released by the Superior Court yesterday.

The tabs included $US1445 ($NZ1853.75) for clothing at Gianni Versace, $US3863 ($NZ4955.74) at TAO nightclub, and $US3008 ($NZ3858.88) at the Hard Rock Beach Club.

He appears determined not to be branded a cheap tipper. At Scores strip club, he dropped a cool $US2000 ($NZ2565.74) on a $US365 ($NZ468.24) meal bill.

Meanwhile, his company, Gooseneck Productions Inc, spent $US841,129 ($NZ1,079,062.22) in 2007 while earning $US544,075 ($NZ697,979.47), according to the documents.

The aspiring rapper also spent big on attempts to prop up his struggling music career.

Federline had $US74,102 ($NZ95,063.50) in "music production" expenses, but earned only $US9849 ($NZ12,635.02) in "music income," according to the documents.

Spears pays her ex-husband $US15,000 ($NZ19,243.10) a month in child support for two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.

Federline pays $US18,228 ($NZ23,384.22) a month in child support, rent and private school tuition for his two children from a previous relationship. - AP
