For eight consecutive years, Kitchen Studio has been voted New Zealand’s most trusted kitchen brand
Kitchen Studio was the first company in the country to offer in-home consultations, and it’s that personal touch the business has been built on for more than 40 years, says Dunedin owner Alyse McCormack.
“Spending time with clients and getting to know them has always been a really important part of what we do,” she explains.
Alyse and her husband Chris purchased the Dunedin Kitchen Studio franchise last year. Both bring years of experience in the local kitchen industry — Alyse in design, and Chris in installation.
They’re part of a nationwide network of 16 locally owned and operated Kitchen Studio showrooms.
“Because we’re all locally owned, we can add our own personal touch,” says Alyse. “But we all share the same values and commitment to quality.”

Customer trust is reinforced by Kitchen Studio’s strong guarantees. Every kitchen comes with a written 10-year warranty that’s fully transferable if the property is sold. Deposits are also protected.
“We offer absolute peace of mind,” says Alyse.
Kitchen Studio works on both new builds and renovations, starting with a consultation, followed by site measurements and a personalised design brief.
With kitchens playing such a central role in the home, getting the details right from the start is key.
“Everyone is unique, and there’s a lot to consider when it comes to how people interact with the space,” Alyse says. “The kitchen is where families gather and guests are welcomed — it’s where we connect, share, and keep traditions alive.”

While they’re not in the budget market, Kitchen Studio focuses on delivering high-end results with enduring value.
“It’s all about quality and service,” Alyse says. “We spend the time to give people a beautiful kitchen that’s built to last.”
That quality is backed by top-tier hardware from brands like Blum, known for their premium drawer systems and hinges.
Recently, the Dunedin team has been focused on a major showroom renovation at 275 Hillside Road. The updated space will showcase the latest kitchen innovations and features a fully functional demonstration kitchen.
“We’re really excited about it,” Alyse says. “It’s the biggest project we’ve taken on since we took over. Come in for a coffee and a chat—we’d love to show you around!”
