Whitestone City

Have fun riding on New Zealand’s only penny-farthing carousel and enjoy Victorian croquet and quoits, or cards and billiards in the bar.

Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony

The Oamaru Harbour is home to the popular Little Blue Penguin Colony. The colony is a modern-day sanctuary providing nesting boxes, rehab facilities, and predator-trapping, and has a full-time trained marine scientist on staff. Visitors can visit the colony by day or take delight in viewing penguins returning home each evening. Fees directly support the welfare research and conservation programme of the penguins and their habitat.
