Impressive honours for Armstrong Prestige's Dunedin dealerships

Local Jaguar Land Rover dealer awarded major international accolade.

Armstrong Prestige Dunedin Jaguar Land Rover has recently been announced as the Retailer of the Year for Jaguar Land Rover in the Asia Pacific Region.

The award was rightfully the biggest achievement for Armstrong Prestige's two Dunedin dealerships, both of which received other impressive honours in recent weeks.

At the New Zealand Jaguar Land Rover Excellence Awards in late May, Princes Street won the Land Rover New Zealand Retailer of the Year for 2017/18 award.

The dealership was also runner-up in the Jaguar Land Rover Supreme Retailer of the Year, the Parts Team award, and the Marketing award.

And recently the Andersons Bay Road dealership won the Jeep Dealer of the Year award for Provincial Dealers for the second year in a row.

``It's very exciting to see the team do so well in those areas,'' Princes St General Sales Manager Hayden Washington says. ``There are a number of different key tasks you have to achieve to get that sort of status, and it certainly shows that we put our customers at the forefront of everything we do.''

The raft of awards only emphasises the strength of the Armstrong Prestige brand in Dunedin, and across Otago and Southland.

New arrivals from excellent brands

ARMSTRONG Prestige's Anderson’s Bay Road stature in Otago will only be built upon with a huge number of exciting new models that have just arrived or will be arriving over future months.

The Andersons Bay Road dealership has some particularly exciting arrivals across its stable of Volvo, RAM, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, and Fiat.

It’s the year of SUVs, with the all new Volvo XC40, a small SUV that was named 2018 European Car of the Year. Alfa Romeo have also delivered their first ever SUV in the Stelvio, a high performance vehicle that is available in both petrol and diesel options.

Recently the new Jeep Compass has arrived in the showroom, and later in the year will see the highly anticipated Jeep Wrangler.

To be launched at this month's National Agricultural Fieldays in Hamilton is the new RAM 1500, a light duty utility. The 1500 will compliment the heavier 2500, which has proven popular.

``Especially with the RAM trucks, we're seeing a lot of development with people wanting a bigger vehicle than a traditional ute,'' Armstrong Prestige Andersons Bay Road General Manager Richard Anderson says. ``They're a bit bigger, with a huge towing capacity.''

At the Princes St dealership, there is a similarly exciting array of vehicles already arriving or on the near horizon.

Armstrong Prestige Land Rover has the new Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Vogue on display, with both models proving to be extremely popular with Armstrong Prestige's customers in the region.

Jaguar's recently released F-Pace SVR, with five-litre V8 has impressed in Europe, and is now available for order in New Zealand.

``And probably most exciting is the I-PACE, Jaguar's first full electric vehicle,'' Washington says. ``We have had such a great reception for this, and as a result we are already taking orders.''

Mercedes-Benz are releasing the latest face lifts of their very popular models, with the S-Class luxury vehicle and X-class utility already on show. The new G-63 SUV, C-Class, A-Class, CLA, and GLE will be arriving in the near future.

``What we do best here is looking after people and getting them into these models,'' Washington says. ``That's why we have the best brands in the marketplace for luxury vehicles, and a fantastic customer base who share the same passion.”
