What is one strong childhood memory?
Helping my brother build dams with warm smooth stones in the braided rivers of Canterbury.

What is your message?
The changing climate is by far the biggest environmental challenge that we face. It is the one that keeps me awake at night.

If you were going to an island and could only take three things, what would they be and why?
I would take only one thing - Bear Grylls.

What is your least favourite thing about humanity?
There are many wonderful things about humanity, but I fear there are too many of us. The Earth is the only home we have and we are over-burdening it.

You are a new addition to the crayon box. What colour are you, and why?
I love the softness and warmth of apricot, but I don't know if apricot crayons exist.
