The University of Otago central campus landscaping project is nearing completion, including in this area of Castle St, Dunedin, viewed from Dundas St and showing Selwyn College at right.

This area will include wider, repaved footpaths in the section of the street that includes the college.

The overall $8 million landscaping project started in 2015 and last October was expected to finish six months behind schedule, but remained on budget, university property services director Barry MacKay said.

A university spokeswoman said yesterday  it was hoped to complete this Castle St section of the work before the main university academic year started next month.
