Ten houses in the Dunedin area remained without power over the weekend after high winds caused widespread cuts last Thursday night.
Delta marketing and communications manager Gary Johnson said 38 customers were still without power on Friday, but that number had been reduced to 15 on Saturday.
Last night there were 10 and those were "more complex repairs''.
Three were people who were either not home - Delta could not re-liven the power until they were - or intended to do tree clearance and had requested the power stay off until that was done.
The other seven included four at Aramoana affected by damage to power poles in the harbour tidal line.
Another, at Outram, would require a helicopter to replace spans that stretched across a gully.
"It's really those more difficult repairs that are taking a bit more time.''
"We expect the remaining ones would be completed today or tomorrow.''
