Rance, who has played bowls for the last 22 years, won the annual award with 26 points from Carolyn Crawford (St Clair) 18 and Janet Swallow (Taieri) and Carolyn West (Forbury Park) 14.
It was the second time she has won the supreme award for women's bowls in the Dunedin centre. She also won in 2007.
Rance won the Millie Khan Memorial Trophy and this was special to her because her best performance at the New Zealand championships was in 2002 when she was in Mata McEwan's Composite four that was beaten by Millie Khan.
''I also played against Millie in my third year of bowls so it made it very special to win a trophy that her family had donated,'' Rance said.
''She was a beautiful person and lovely to play against.''
Last season Rance won the open triples and open fours and has now won 19 Bowls Dunedin titles and is fourth on the Dunedin list.
She was also runner-up in the open singles and the champion of champions triples.
Rance skipped the Green Island team that won the open triples when team mate Margaret Hoad won her fifth title and gold star.
There was also some milestones when Green Island won the champion of champions fours because it gave Gaynor Todd her first centre title and Diane Jackson's first in the Dunedin centre.
Rance won her first centre title in the open pairs in 1995 and her fifth title and gold star in the same event in 2001.
Faye Cosgrove was her partner both times.
The fifth title was special because she joined her mother Phyl Reynolds as the only mother and daughter to win gold stars in Dunedin bowls.
''Mum was at the green watching us when we got it. It was a very emotional time. It was lovely ,'' Rance said.
Bowls New Zealand silver awards for winning five national titles were presented to Robbie Thomson (Fairfield) and Ken Walker (Taieri) at the Bowls Dunedin awards night at the Taieri club.
The Ballard Brooch was presented to the Taieri women's fours team of Beth Williams, Jean Young, Raelene Walshaw and Jan Barclay.
Robert Gibson (Taieri) was named the Bowls Dunedin green keeper of the year.
