Thirty cats and kittens were adopted within 40 minutes.
Mrs Foster said yesterday’s event and another adoption day last month had been ‘‘wildly successful’’.
‘‘People have been prepared to give some of the shy cats a go, which is really lovely,’’ she said.
She thanked volunteers and Beachlands Speedway for their support.
