A drink-driver allegedly almost three times over the legal limit crashed his car and fled before later being arrested, police say.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said the man left a Green Island tavern yesterday evening.
His vehicle drifted, hit a median strip before the driver lost control of it and hit a power pole.
Inso Dinnissen said the driver ran from the car but was found by police about 11pm with a breath alcohol level of 1176mg.
The legal limit for a driver over 20 is 400mg.
The man will appear in court within the next two weeks.
