The three riders were the only ones to take part in the Dunedin City Council-organised ride.

It was one of three events organised in Dunedin this week as part of the international campaign aiming to have 1000 cities to open public spaces to health during April 7-11.

Dunedin City Council human resources adviser Jason Sargeant said they would have liked more people to take part and he hoped more would be able to be at the walk with Mayor Peter Chin at noon today and the spin bike challenge tomorrow at Wall Street.
