Dunedin cyclist hit by vehicle

A cyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in central Dunedin this morning.

A police spokeswoman said police were called to the intersection of Anzac Ave and Union St at 7.57am.

A St John spokesman said the man was taken to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries.

A reporter at the scene said three police cars and an ambulance were at the scene.
