The organisers of a festival which celebrates all things Taieri are looking for fresh blood to invigorate the annual celebration.
Festival of the Plain committee secretary Pam Mason said the festival was looking for new organisations to be part of the annual week of events.
''You can't have the same old events every year; it gets a bit stale,'' Mrs Mason said.
Being part of the festival was a ''win-win'' because it was an opportunity for groups to fundraise and benefit from the festival's exposure, while adding to the diversity of the festival.
More people were wanted to join the committee, which was having its annual meeting on May 20.
''It's good to get new people because they have new ideas.''
The highlight of the festival each year was the Party in the Park held in the Memorial Gardens.
Other events in this year's festival week in February included the Mosgiel senior citizens' festival concert organised by Age Concern and an art exhibition organised by the East Taieri Artists Group.
