Logan Park High School science teacher Peter MacCaskill takes a hit from a water balloon at the school yesterday while Dane Forgie-Stephens (13) launches another attack.

The balloon attack was for a good cause - an awareness campaign inspired by the threatened stoning of Iranian woman Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani was taking aim at capital punishment. "We've resurrected our Amnesty International group and I asked the kids to find a case that inspired them, and raise its profile," media studies teacher Amber Moffatt said.

"I told them to be creative and they came up with this idea."

More than 200 pupils lined up to have a shy at the teachers at the school tennis courts yesterday. "It was a good chance for the kids to get their own back," Mr MacCaskill joked after his soaking.
