A helicopter has been called to help winch a woman from a track near Aramoana after she fell and broke her ankle.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said a fire crew from Port Chalmers and an ambulance were at the scene.
Emergency services received reports a woman fell on a track near Aramoana Rd shortly before noon.
A helicopter was en route, she said.
