Not sure yet what you will wear during iD Dunedin Fashion Week? Never fear, Dunedin's designers and retailers can help.

In a first for the city, a designer garage sale of clothes, fabric, make-up, jewellery and accessories will be held in Dunedin this weekend, on Sunday.

Organiser Charmaine Reveley said the iD Dunedin Fashion Week Designer Sale was something she felt the week had always needed.

"It's an accessible thing that anyone can go to.

I think it will be very popular," she said.

Ms Reveley will sell wares, "priced to go", alongside Tamsin Cooper, Waughs, Jane Sutherland, Company of Strangers, Claire Bloom, Emily Kerse, Silk Body, Nom*D, Plume and Arthur Barnett at the event.

Each designer will run their own stall, setting their own prices, offering a "real variety of stuff", Ms Reveley said.

The sale will take place at the Glenroy Auditorium, from 11am-4pm.

Entry is by gold coin.

Tickets are still available to iD's key events - 200 to the iD International Emerging Designer Awards, 400 to the Friday night, and 80 to the Saturday night fashion shows.

iD Dunedin Fashion Week runs from April 5-10.
