Injured woman rescued in middle of night

A woman with an injured leg needed to be rescued from rocks at Aramoana overnight.

Emergency services were called to Moana St at 2am after reports of a woman stuck on some rocks by the beach, a police spokeswoman said.

The woman had an injured leg.

Firefighters were able to help lift her off the rocks and she was assessed by ambulance staff.
