Dunedin police have arrested a man following an incident at a Wakari dairy and service station tonight.

A police spokesman said they were notified about a man allegedly brandishing a bat at the On the Spot dairy in Taieri Rd just after 7.20pm.

The man fled to the nearby Caltex service station where police found him a short time later.
