Man arrested over spate of Dunedin robberies

Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a spate of robberies in the Dunedin area this month. 

The robberies were committed between June 5 and June 13, Detective Sergeant Rob Hanna, of Dunedin police, said tonight.

"A 19-year-old man has been charged for his role in relation to the robberies at the BP Service Station in Mornington on June 5, the Green Island Post and Paper on June 7 and the 10 O'Clock Dairy in St Kilda on June 13."

He would appear in Dunedin District Court tomorrow charged with the robberies.

Two other men appeared in Dunedin District Court today in connection with the robbery at the 10 O'Clock dairy, Mr Hanna said.

Police were continuing their enquiries and would not rule out the possibility of further arrests being made.
